Shooting “strobed” sports with Dave Black
dec 8th

Reading one of the many danish blogs, fotograftips.dk, I came upon a video starring Dave Black, a sports photographer specializing in strobed sports photography. It was featured on the site to showcase the RadioPopper system being able to convert the Nikon/Canon infrared system into radiosignals for bright daylight or longer distance shooting.
Five days later strobist.com featured the same guy on their site.

Made a short video about my latest DIY project, a bag for most of my lighting gear.
I still can’t fit my two larger lightstands, but since I have separate bags for those I’ll survive…

A couple of weeks ago a friend of mine asked me if would shoot some photos of him and his kids. This isn’t something I normally do and as this was meant to be photos that he and his wife wanted framed and hung in the livingroom I was pretty nervous about getting it right the first time and not having to do the shoot all over again because I screwed it up.
Had I been asked a year ago, I probably would have declined doing the shoot but reading a post by my favorite photo blogger i persuaded myself it was time to take a chance and shoot someone else besides my self.
