Why I wanted a Canon 7D for Christmas, and why I didn’t get one

Ever since the Canon 7D came out, I’ve secretly been wanting to get my hands on one of them. it has a 1.6 focal length multiplier, around 8 frames pr. second, and video capability.
ISO performance as high as 12800 in a tight place (and “do-able” up until 3200), and a viewfinder that shows you everything, instead of the small one I have now.
The price here in Denmark, and that’s probably where I’ll wanna buy it for insurance reasons, is around 2 grand for the body alone, with the exchange rate at approx. 5 DKK = 1 $, which is also why I wont get one.
I’m hoping the price will go down…

I recently started a topic on a Danish photography forum where I asked which free online video tutorials, other users would recommend…
It quickly expanded to Photoshop/Lightroom and other image editing programs…
I keep an updated list on my main site here…
I really have learned a lot from these free tutorials, but these of course, is no substitute for getting out there and trying out what you’ve just learned..
