AZR, who dat?
Find out who I am, what this is all about and how to navigate this site…
.
So who am I?
31, and new to blogging, married with kids and yes I’ll admit it, slightly overweight with a bum knee…
oh, and quite the singer as you can see in the short video above. (For all you Anglo-Saxons out there we’re singing about a butterfly, thats, well, small… btw. did you know that the Anglo-Saxon thing stems from the British being of German decent?)
Did you notice that… the link in the text redirecting you to a site regarding that word, “Anglo Saxon”? I do that quite a lot in my articles. There’s nothing worse than hearing about cool gear or someone using a weird word and not knowing were it came from.
So as you check out my articles click on the links, they open up in a new window leaving you on this site to continue your reading…
On with the story…
I started working with WordPress, October 2009 and so far I like what I’m seeing. The photography thing started waaaaaayyyyy back in 2005-2006 with a analog film SLR, and now, well here I am…
My main interest used to be sports, but I gotta say that I shifted my stands a bit, since I started out and now I primarily shot portraits, either really weird ones with a lot of flash and gadgets, or portraits just using the natural ambient light.
I still shot sports when I get the chance, but since my favourite sport is football, and I’m on the field each weekend wearing my zebra outfit, I rarely get a chance to shot anything…
Okay enough already…
Finally, try clicking on the button to your right that says “bang bang”… not that funny, but give it a whirl anyways.
How to navigate on the site
There are three ways of finding your way around this site…
- The page called “previous articles” which shows you all of the post and articles I’ve ever written… some of my post are articles about certain subject, but most of ‘em has a kinda weird headline, so it can be hard to tell “dirt from diamonds”, depending on which way you swing
- The other way is by doing a search for a specific topic… for example type in the word “flash” and see what you get.
- Finally and how I envisioned it, is to do a tag search just below the search engine (click on the blue icon next to the folder icon). Each post has at least one tag describing the subject. If you’re looking for tutorials, click “tutorial” and each and every entry that I deemed to be describable as being a tutorial will have gotten that tag.
Mission statement for azr-photography.com
So whats the purpose of this blog you ask? Well it’s basically an creative outlet… I love to write and have done so for quite a few years. Previously I wrote for a local football team, posting on their website…
Now I write about photography, blogging and everything else I might find funny and/or interesting… It’s also a place where I can showcase my photographic work, not to the extend that I want to make a business out of it, and expect to find customers through this site, but mainly as a way to show my friends and followers how I see the world.
Please feel free to comment on my entries, that would be greatly appreciated.
