I first noticed this guy through Twitter. David “the strobist” Hobby, had written about his blog where Trent was blogging about one of his more special assignments.

EXECUTE

Trent Nelson is a photojournalist working for The Salt Lake Tribune. He writes several blogs about anything and everything… the blog where I first noticed him, redirected by the before mentioned Mr. Hobby, was on trenthead, com Mr. Nelsons blog specifically about photography.

Execution… not a very pleasant word in my book, no matter how you spin it… being from Denmark and not living in the same reality as the Americans do, I can not even fathom the need for a capital punishment, (the requirement of  the death of an criminal) no matter what he’s done, but then again I’ve never have death that close to me.

Even though it’s only words on a screen, reading Trent Nelsons blog posts about covering an execution made me feel like I was right there. The blog posts a written from his point of view but without letting his own opinion of the matter shine through, the sign of a true professional..
